A creative soul and a photographer for thirteen years now, I find joy in telling stories through images.
My photography journey began at the age of 10 when I received my first camera as a birthday gift. My Dad, a keen photographer himself, inspired me to take up photography and gave me my first instructions on composition and lighting.
After school I saved up to buy my first SLR and soon undertook a Diploma of Photography. Upon graduation I was fortunate to land job at a top wedding photography studio in Brisbane.
During that time and in my first year entering the QLD professional photography awards I took out the award of Highest Scoring Print Overall and was awarded Runner Up Wedding Photographer of the Year.
With a continual thirst for knowledge, I complemented my work at the studio by completing a Bachelor of Photography majoring in photographic art practice. This led to exhibiting my work around Brisbane and several of my works have been finalists in major art prizes throughout the years.
In 2009 I caught the travel bug and headed to Europe. I fell in love with Berlin and since then I’ve been living between Berlin and Australia.
I also occasionally run workshops on Photography and Mindfulness and this mindfulness is something I bring to the work I do as a professional photographer.
Gratitude is what comes to mind when I think about the weddings and portraits I’ve photographed over the last thirteen years. Gratitude for being invited to capture one of the most special days in a couples life, to be there to share in the joy and happiness and celebrations, privileged to be the one entrusted to create the images that are so personal and so important for families and the next generations to come.
